'I have been working as a project developer for Vesteda since September 2008, and I have been given plenty of opportunities to develop myself further. In this role, I am involved in the acquisition and development of homes in the intermediate and higher segments. I also filled the position of Property Marketing Project manager for six months. Within this role, I was responsible for launching a few of our new building projects on the market. That was special for me because this combined role brought me into direct contact with clients. It was rewarding to see that the pre-determined target group for a project actually started renting properties and that the way clients feel about the buildings is exactly as we intended. I feel a certain pride because Vesteda attaches great importance to realising beautiful high-quality residential buildings, which contribute to the beauty of the Dutch environment.'
'Besides my regular work, I have also always been involved with one of our innovation workgroups, Sustainable Building. This workgroup works out the practical details of the sustainable building concept with the aim of building in a more environmentally-friendly fashion and generating extra returns. In early 2010, the efforts and input of the working group resulted in my being asked whether I would like to take on the role of Project manager for Sustainability. The aim is to firmly embed sustainability within the organisation. As part of my tasks in this role, I am now also responsible for the sustainability policy within Vesteda and its implementation. This goes further than just our buildings, but also relates to our organisation as a whole.'
